Security Account Director – Data Centres
Location: flexible, candidates should be within commutable distance of the M4 or M25.
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 depending on experience plus car/car allowance.
Are you a security management professional with strong data centre experience?
A leading provider of security services is looking to appoint a senior security professional that has strong data centre physical security experience to oversee the delivery of services to a client portfolio, advise their clients on data centre best practice and continue the growth of the division. If you have a deep understanding of data centre compliance frameworks and physical security standards this could be the role for you.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Strong security management experience in data centres. This could be client side or with a security service provider.
- You will have a strong understanding of how to manage risk and security across data centres
- You will be able to use your experience in data centres to implement robust policies and procedures.
- You will be able to act as the ‘data centre security expert’ within the business and add tremendous value to clients.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to provide a dynamic and customer focused security service
- Deep understanding of data centre compliance frameworks and physical security standards
- Strong technical familiarity with advanced physical security systems, including Biometric Access Control Systems (BACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), CCTV analytics, and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM)
The role:
- You will be responsible for the management and direction of the company’s data centre security division
- You will review and enhance the company’s delivery of security services to their data centre customers
- You will ensure that the infrastructure is in place to grow the division and add value to new clients in the data centre sector.
- You will work closely with operational teams currently delivering security at data centre sites
- Collaborate with clients and technical partners to advise on system upgrades, life cycle management, and the integration of electronic security tech to drive operational efficiency
- You will play a key role in influencing the growth and strategic direction of division
- You will foster and develop relationships with key client stakeholder, ensuring a first-class service delivery
- Ensure all managed sites are permanently audit-ready and successfully pass stringent third-party and client security compliance reviews
